End The Cycle Program

Dedicated to our Youth.

“Despite the difficulty, choose success.”

Our End the Cycle Program implements the SafeDates evidence-based curriculum. This program educated youth and adolescents on how to identify and prevent dating violence. Through 10 engaging sessions, our youth participated in learning discussions and identified abusive relationships, common gender stereotypes regarding dating violence, and important prevention techniques.

In the general social psychological model of crime, majority of offenders have negative attitudes concerning sex roles and relationships, rather than adopting a trusting, nurturing approach to relationships, abusive partners are hostile and individualistic. This becomes a continuous struggle in the relationship, as dominance is sought. As a result, these individuals are eventually sent to detention centers or prison for domestic/dating violence.
